The Surgical Perspective on Planning, Designing, and Execution of Immediate Implant Treatments
The development in digital technology has allowed us to extend immediate implant treatment options to a larger portion of our patient population. These changes and evolution are presented in all aspects and phases of the treatment, from the diagnostic and data acquisition all the way to implant design and prosthetic materials. Even though the fundamentals of implant treatment planning and surgical technique are still the same, incorporating these changes in your everyday practice demands investment and learning new tools.
This presentation will discuss the optimal ways to improve data collection and communication with the planning and design team for a centralized solution. These small nuances can decrease inaccuracies, waste time, and complications during immediate guide surgery. We will also discuss implant selection and the rationale behind the different approaches.
Learning objectives:
- Be familiar with protocols for data collection needed for digital planning
- Discuss the communication process with the planning and design team
- Understand planning options and guide design and indications
- Be aware of possible complications and how they can be avoided
