Incorporating Immediacy procedures as a practice builder
Overwhelmingly, the successful practices in implant dentistry that continue to show growth in most markets have in common the ability to provide immediate implant solutions to their patients. The immediate implant approach has been employed successfully for decades and is well documented in the literature. Immediate implant solutions reduces the number of interventions required, significantly reduces patient morbidity, addresses concerns about transitional prosthetics, and often leads to a more predictable aesthetic outcome. Implementation of this protocol has shown to dramatically improve case acceptance. The key to its successful implementation is case selection, understanding the limitations of this treatment approach, choosing an appropriate implant system and adhering to strict surgical and prosthetic protocols.
Limiting micromotion during healing is the principal determinant of success and primary stability has proven to be an excellent proxy to predicting excessive motion. Utilization of an implant that is specifically designed to achieve primary stability is critical.
This online lecture will focus on the business rationale and the tremendous potential financial impact that offering immediacy can have on your implant practice as well as a review of the underlying principles and indications for its implementation.
