Straumann BLX and TLX—the fifth-generation implant system taking immediacy to the next level

This lively illustrated webinar provides first-hand insight into the individual design features of BLX implants and their biological and clinical rationales presented by the inventor Dr Ophir Fromovich.

In his lecture, Dr Fromovich will present BLX implants as the latest generation of tapered implant designs. He will elaborate on the implant’s inherent osteotomy preparation functionality resulting in optimized implant contact, primary stability and simplified and immediate treatment capabilities. He will also detail the novel bone engagement mechanism of BLX implants, its bidirectional cutting and dynamic bone management capability. Further prosthetic options and interfaces with tissue level alternatives, i.e. TLX, and its simplified drill protocols in the function of the implant size and bone quality will be presented.

In the second part of the presentation, Dr Fromovich will demonstrate how BLX design features may be exploited to optimise treatment workflows and outcomes in various indications, anatomical locations and bone conditions. The overview will encompass diverse clinical applications, from immediate single-tooth replacements to full-arch restorations, accommodating different defect morphologies and incorporating bone substitute materials.
