The use of Straumann screw-retained abutments to enhance the clinical results in immediate implant treatments
Disconnection of healing or prosthetic abutments has always been controversial in implant dentistry. Various publications have shown that when the prosthetic abutment is placed right after the surgery and left until the delivery of the final restoration, it might be a possible additional strategy to further minimise peri-implant crestal bone resorption. In my daily practice, the use of an intermediate element between the implant platform and the final abutment is considered in any implant case, both when placing implants in healed bone or an immediacy case, as it has shown to enhance the outcomes of my implant treatments in terms of soft and hard tissues maintenance. This webinar will show how the use of screw-retained abutments can enhance the final outcome in cases of immediate treatments and also the literature that supports the clinician’s choice.
