Dr. Druthil is a U.S. trained Prosthodontist and Certified Dental Technician. He graduated from R.V. Dental College in Bangalore, India with a Bachelor in Dental Surgery in 2003. After practicing with his father at ‘Dental Lavelle’ in Bangalore for 2 years, he decided to pursue an education in the U.S. He joined the 2 year International Program at Boston University’s Goldman School of Dental Medicine and graduated with a DMD in 2007 and a license to practice in the U.S. Over the next 8 years, he was in private practice in downtown Boston during which he attended over 500 hours of continuing education around the country. He was awarded the “Ten under 10” by the Massachusetts Dental Society in 2014 and obtained a Fellowship with the Academy of General Dentistry. He was also part time clinical faculty for 2 years in the Department of Restorative & Biomaterial Sciences at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine.
In 2015, his passion for restorative Dentistry led him to pursue a post-doctoral Masters and certificate program in Prosthodontics in Dallas, Texas. Dr. Druthil was the Chief Resident at the Graduate Prosthodontics Program at Texas A & M’s Baylor College of Dentistry (formerly Baylor College of Dentistry) and was the recipient of the Granger Pruden Research Award. He has presented several posters in Chicago at the American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics and has also published in the Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry and other dental magazines in the United States. He was Faculty at the University of the Pacific Arthur Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco from 2018 to 2019. In addition to being a Fellow with the ITI, he is also a U.S. trained Certified Dental Technician. Dr. Druthil has presented in several national and international meetings, including several ITI study clubs. He is a Key opinion leader for Straumann India and currently spends most of his time in private practice in Bangalore, India.
