Dr. Olympia Karacosta is an Assistant Professor at Tufts University in the Department of Comprehensive Care. Dr. Karacosta has received her first dental degree, D.D.S., from University of Athens, Greece, School of Dental Medicine. She was then accepted at Tufts University where she completed the Esthetic Dentistry Fellowship Program. In 2007, she received her second dental degree, D.M.D., from Tufts University, School of Dental Medicine and the same year she completed the Implant Dentistry Fellowship in the Implant Center at Tufts University. In 2013, she started teaching in the Postgraduate Program in Advanced Education in Esthetics and Operative Dentistry, at Tufts University, Dental School.
Dr. Karacosta has been in a dental private practice in Athens, Greece before coming to the US. She has been practicing in a private office in Boston since 2007.
Dr. Karacosta has been a member of the Massachusetts Dental Society and the American Dental Association. Recently, she became an Affiliate member of the European Academy of Esthetic Dentistry (EAED) and a Fellow of the International Team for Implantology (ITI). She is also the Communication Officer of the US ITI Section since May 2022. She continuously attends dental national and international meetings, related to Esthetic Dentistry and Implants. She has been giving continuing education courses related to Esthetic Dentistry and also presented in dental meetings all related with Esthetic and Implant Dentistry as well. She has a passion for Esthetic Dentistry and offering the best quality dentistry for her patients. She also enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, swimming and photography.
